Discover My Fashion Journey

Being born and raised believing in a faith that was violently imposed on my country is one of the issues that most haunts my adult mind. I feel loved and protected by spiritual beings, and I constantly read that the reason they came to me is because my country was conquered. I try to find my culture separate from religion, but my culture as a Colombian is deeply Catholic.

This project was a journey my partner Verónica Villa and I undertook through religious identity in the post-imposition era.

The collection stands as a profound and courageous exploration of what characterizes Latin American history and culture. Through the reinterpretation of the figure of the Virgin of Guadalupe, it challenges a legacy of oppression perpetuated by religious institutions, while celebrating the enduring and transformative influence of spirituality on collective identity.

Leveraging maximalist aesthetics, the collection presents a variety of textures and colors that evoke the visual richness of sacred art, while interweaving elements that allude to the opulence and mysticism traditional to religion, but reinterpreted with a contemporary and liberating spirit. Each piece tells a story, narrating not only religous devotion but also resistance and the search for freedom in the face of social and gender restrictions.
